Aerial Evolution Association of Canada (AEAC) Conference
Experience from the VP of Training & Operations: Bev Williams
Annual Drone Conference: Ottawa – Nov 6 – 8, 2024
This year is the 3rd year of CASARA attending but the 2nd for taking a more active role in the drone world.
CASARA members who attended this year with the VP Training & Operations Bev Williams were Samantha Grant, National RPAS Training Officer: Marco Laforest, and Nick Gittins, all actively involved with drone technology and innovations. We were also accompanied by the NCLO Maj. Claude Courcelles & CLO Capt. Mack Cook.
The event included stakeholders such as NAV Canada, Transport Canada, various companies, & police dept’s using Drones as First Responders (DFR), along with Industry leaders, DJI, & others.
At the networking sessions and trade show there were several drone companies with new innovations as well as those from last year which showed promise, and we will be engaging in further discussions and demonstrations throughout the coming months.
At the ‘Women in Drones’ we met some amazing & very successful women in industry, it's always great to see a different perspective in the drone industry.
We appreciated the invitation to present at the conference to tell CASARA’s story & our vision going forward, thanks to Graham Anderson & Spexi for introducing & sponsoring us.
Special thank you to Samantha Grant, Nicholas Gittins, & Marco Laforest for their support & dedication to CASARA and the continuing work we will be embarking on, which includes following up with contacts and continued collaboration with many interesting individuals and companies.
We look forward to the exciting year ahead for CASARA and for the drone industry.
