Season 1: Episode 5 - The Hunt

Released Dec 5th 2024 -- Episode Description:The Yukon’s Civil Air Search and Rescue Association battles treacherous flying conditions in their search for a historic missing plane that had 44 people on board. The Dawson City Fire Department responds to a 911 call that puts the town in jeopardy, while two of their own get into trouble far from home. Then a call for help takes Ray into the Yukon’s remote backcountry.

CASARA is proud to share that the member organization CASARA Yukon was officially featured on the television show Yukon Rescue. Centred around the search for the missing Skymaster in 1954, it is packed with an interesting look at CASARA YT and key members involved with the search (i.e. Andy Rector, Greg Shaffer, Dave Downing, and more). In addition to this historical perspective, the episode provides an intriguing behind-the-scenes look at the operations of fellow CASARA members from CASARA Yukon, offering our national members and the general public an opportunity to see firsthand the individuals and teamwork involved in missions within the north!
